Why blog? Reflection, Assignment #2

After reading Why Blog? I didn’t feel much different or feel like I learned anything new, the article just gave more of an in-depth details of the topics we were talking about last week. When I began reading the article it informed me about some interesting facts, “it takes some 10,000 hours of dedication to your craft profession to become an expert”. Right away I began wonder if I was an expert in anything, obviously I am not but I guess that I’m an amateur in many things.I wasn’t told to write about what I’m good at so, reading more into the article I read something that I already knew, blogging is a good way to do a develop as a writer.Although we’ve been blogging for two weeks I do feel like I have been improving in my writing skills or maybe it’s the fact that I didn’t get many assignments before. More into the article it talks about the intrinsic and extrinsic motivations, and I have neither. Hopefully doing this more often I can become motivated more intrinsically. The Article also talks about writing things were interested and how to present it. The article says to think about my audience and what they expect me. I usually don’t do this or think about this, this confuses me because were told to write how we want about what we want but still follow these rules. More questions they ask is what my purpose for writing this blog? Hopefully by following these rhetorical questions it helps me in my scholarly writing skills but more my grade. By reading this whole article and coming to answering a reading a reflection of this article… since reflect means to think about deeply what I honestly thought was that I didn’t find the article that interesting and it really didn’t make me think of much besides the fact that I get distracted easily when I’m reading and it’s hard for me to reach these word counts. I really want to do good in this class but I’m bad in the most of the things we do so honestly I don’t think I’m going to get an A, but since I have a lot of room for improvement I’ll probably learn a lot.
